Funeral Expenses for 7-year-old Isaac

Following a tragic accident, a young member of our Boone community died this morning. This precious 7-year-old child started school in Boone last year and lived with his father while his mother remained in their home country of Honduras. Isaac's death is an unimaginable tragedy for a family that has already faced a number of obstacles in life. The family will need to pay for funeral arrangements and possibly for the very costly endeavor of sending his body back to his mother in Honduras. The Immigrant Justice Coalition of Boone asks you to please consider offering financial support to this family so that they can focus on grieving the loss of their child.
Tras un trágico accidente, un joven miembro de nuestra comunidad de Boone murió esta mañana. Este niño adorado de 7 años comenzó la escuela en Boone el año pasado y vivió con su padre mientras su madre permanecía en su país de origen, Honduras. La muerte de Isaac es una tragedia inimaginable para una familia que ya se ha enfrentado a una serie de obstáculos en la vida. La familia deberá pagar los arreglos del funeral y posiblemente el costoso esfuerzo de enviar su cuerpo de regreso a su madre en Honduras. La coalición de justicia para inmigrantes (IJC) de Boone pide que considere ofrecer apoyo financiero a esta familia para que puedan concentrarse en el duelo por la pérdida de su hijo.
Edit: Funds received will be collected by and paid to Sarah Donovan, organizer of this campaign, but will benefit Isaac's father, Oscar William Vasquez-Pascual, so that he will not be responsible for funeral expenses or the cost of transporting Isaac's body to Honduras. Arrangements are being made by Hampton's Funeral Home in Boone, NC and the majority of funds collected will be paid to Hampton's by Ms. Donovan on behalf of Mr. Vaquez-Pascual; any remaining funds will be transferred by Ms. Donovan to Mr. Vazquez-Pascual for his use so that he can focus on grieving rather than work and paying bills.
