The Mark Amtower Scholarship for First Responders

On March 27th Mark Amtower’s life ended way to soon. Mark’s only dream was to follow in his dad’s footsteps and work in the world of First Response.  Throughout his adult life Mark has worked in Fire, Local Law and with the County Sheriff’s Department.  Since the age of 8 Mark has been a part of the Community Emergency Response Team in Christian County, first working as a volunteer victim to later assisting with classes. He will be missed by  both his family and his first responder family.  With a dad as an Emergency Manager, a mother who is a nurse, a brother in Veterinarian school and a sister in health care, it was in his blood to serve his community. In his honor we would like to set up a lifetime scholarship with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to allow one graduating senior a year from Clever High School to pursue their career in this field. Whether it be Fire, Law, EMS, Dispatcher or Emergency Management. Mark’s legacy and dream will carry on. The amount we are trying to raise will allow for a lifetime of giving through Community Foundation. Please help in any way you can.
