Support a Grieving Daughter and Big Sister

Hi Family! I’m Dr. Ashley Bennett and I’m offering this fundraiser as support for my former student turned honorary daughter, Claudel. 

Claudel, daughter of Cameroonian immigrants, was a student at the University of North Texas until she found herself the sole caretaker and provider for her twin brothers, Trevor and Travis. Sadly, Claudel’s loving mother, Marie, passed away on August 25th after a long battle with breast cancer. Claudel now has to navigate her own grief while caring for her brothers. As one can imagine, Claudel has expenses beyond her means. She has to plan a home going service for her mother and provide for herself and her brothers, which includes after school care so she can work full time. Additionally, she fully intends to go back to school. 

Claudel graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston in 2017. As a student, she was active in many organizations, but she is most proud of her time in the Voices of Black Youth (VOBY). In her free time, Claudel loves to sing, dance, attend church, and hang out with her dear friends. 

Claudel is a bright light and she needs a little support to get her through the most challenging time of her life. She is grateful for any help.
