Romir Talley Muralist Legal Defense Fund

Several People have been arrested and booked in connection to the Romir Talley mural in Wilkinsburg.
All are facing felony charges from Allegheny County and will need to hire legal assistance. This fund will also help cover and bail and court fees they will face.

If any money remains after all expenses, the remainder will be given to the Talley family. Any amount helps, as these people will need the best legal support they can get while facing jailable, felony charges for painting a mural.

The notifying officer for this case was Officer Robert Gowans, the same officer who murdered Romir Talley:

After the painting of the mural, they had been cited by the borough. However, those charges were then dropped as the property owner did not wish to pursue them.

Allegheny county then pursued their own, separate Felony charges of Criminal Mischief.

Soon after the mural was finished, it was painted over by the new property owners, without the consent or knowledge of the Talley Family.
