Palestine Podcast
Seven years ago I moved from the Netherlands to live with my Palestinian husband in Palestine. During the current pandemic I continued studying for the local tour guide diploma. But there are no tourists. I decided to start a Palestine Podcast to share 'Stories from Palestine' with the world. These stories will be about history, cultural heritage, flora and fauna, local artists, musicians and initiatives and will also contain personal experiences of life in Palestine.
Importance
This is relevant, because there are no podcasts yet that focus on the history and heritage. There are several podcasts about the political situation, which is very relevant, but there are much more valuable, inspiring and unexpected stories to share to put Palestine back on the map.
This podcast will be interesting and inspiring for people who have never been to Palestine, for those who have been and love the place as well as for Palestinians in the diaspora who are unfortunately not able to visit or to live in Palestine.
My main goal is to educate people and to show a different side of Palestine.
Generating income in times of Covid
I will be honest to say that I am also hoping to generate some income out of this project as we have been severely suffering from the stop of tourism since the start of the Pandemic.
In order to make this Palestine Podcast happen I need help with this :
Podcast hosting 150 euro
Microphone plus accessories 200 euro
Upgrade of my laptop for editing 120 euro
Website and hosting 300 euro
For the Palestinian musician who created the jingle and shifters 100 euro
Squadcast one year subscription for distance audio recording interviews 100 euro
Gratitude
Right now our financial situation is not so that I can afford these investments and that's why I am hoping that there will be people who will see the importance of getting those stories out and changing the minds and hearts of people. It would be great if in the future when the world opens up again, lots of people from all over the world will be inspired to come visit Palestine, contribute to its economy and support the Palestinians in their struggle for justice and equality.
I will be so grateful and appreciative for any small donation. The more small donations the better because then I will know that this project has real support.

The first episode had about 220 listeners in the first five days.
I did already create a facebook page and Instagram page called
STORIES FROM PALESTINE
The facebook page has 450 followers in the first ten days.
The first episode is already available for you to hear and the new episode will be available on Monday on Google podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher and some other podcast libraries. And always through this link: http://storiesfrompalestine.buzzsprout.com
