Remembering Michelle Marko and her family
Donation protected
Michelle learned in July that cancer had returned, but no one realized how quickly it would progress. She passed away on the evening of Monday, August 24th, with her family at her side. From her husband, Tim, on his Facebook tribute to her:
"Thank all of you so much for the prayers and kind words this week as we try to come to terms with Michelle's passing on Monday. It's been both extremely sad and shocking for the girls and I. It will take some time to process and adjust to a new "normal," whatever that means. Our days so far revolve around being numb at the loss, to laughing at great Michelle stories we remember, to crying at the slightest provocation.
We appreciate everything everyone has said and done for us over these past few days. It's heartwarming to know how much Michelle was loved by so many people."
This fund is set up to support Tim, Lily, and Sadie as they move forward into an uncharted future. Michelle's wish was for both her girls to go to college; had she survived, they would have been able to attend Concordia at a 90% discount as children of a faculty member. Please consider a donation to help support them and show your concern at this great time of need.
