Help Tiggy the cat

Tiggy is one of our farm cats at a livery stables, who along with her brother Russell and half sister Tabitha were born in Italy and were rescued and brought to Kent 5-6 years ago. Tiggy is a ginger female cat which is quite rare. She recently has been under the weather, losing weight and breathing rapidly, She was seen by a vet practice who said it was either asthma or heart failure and put her on steroids. She seemed okay for a while but this week her breathing became very rapid again so we took her to a local vet where a friend of mine is Practice Manager and they fund some treatment for feral/stray cats.  She was put on antibiotics but did not improve and after another vet visit they recommended she had a chest x-ray and a dental but we would have to pay for this. 

Tiggy had x-rays on Thursday and had 7 teeth removed and sutures. They also took a lung fluid sample as there is shadowing on her lungs - could be infection, inflammation, asthma, COPD or worst case scenario a tumour.  She is now at home with me recovering and hopefully we will get the results back in the next week and decide whether she can return to the farm to her brother who is missing her.

Sadly the farm where she lives has been sold and the  new owners want to redevelop and we all have to go. The previous farm owner does not want anything to do with the cats or help with the vet bill. We are trying to find another yard where a few of us can take the horses and the 3 cats which is really sad as they have been there most of their lives. 

The bill for her x-rays and teeth removal was over £500. So far we have raised nearly £300 but depending on results she may have to be referred to a specialist but hopefully this won't be the  case.

We are trying to raise enough money to pay off the vet bill and any further treatment she may need.  Any monies left over will be donated directly to Happy Endings Rescue so they can continue their amazing rescue work.
