NEW DATE Man about a Dog Chester-Snowdon Challenge

Tax deductible
***The Challenge is back on for 16th/17th October!!*** We are raising money for Man about a Dog (based at Stockport Progress and Recovery Centre).  This project provides vital support for people who have survived suicide attempts.  It is run by survivors, for survivors and it is the only project of its kind in the country.  Surviving a suicide attempt is a lonely and difficult experience and is very common.  One person in fifteen will at some point attempt to take their life.  We believe that one of the best ways to reduce suicides is to work with people who have already attempted, as they are the group that is most likely to attempt again. The MaaD team regularly visit  Stockport Station and support staff and commuters.  Their funding is running out and so we have decided to take on this challenge so that the project can continue! Kevin and Carl are doing a 78 mile bike ride from Chester to Llanberis, on the new date of Friday 16th October.  The following day, Gareth, Chris, Lisa, Tony and Karen will conquer Snowden, aiming to do a complete 9 mile round trip in less than 6 hours! We are hoping to complete the whole challenge in 16 hours! Please donate to show your support to Team Avanti and MaaD. You can read more about the work of MaaD here
