Help Flores Family Find Home After Oregon Wildfire

Donation protected
Maria and her family are asking for all the help they can get. Maria’s mobile home, where she’s lived for seven years with her husband and mother-in-law, was lost in the wake of the devastating Southern Oregon fires that swept through a mobile home park in Talent on September 8, 2020.

With all of their possessions lost, including Maria’s three chihuahuas, the family of three is currently living in their only car, staying in the parking lot of a nearby church with nowhere else to go and without relief from the smoke pollution that continues to fill and settle in the Rogue Valley.

Maria, our co-worker, was working her job in the assembly department when she got the call from her husband about the evacuation. When she arrived to the horrific scene, she was told by authorities it was unsafe to enter the area. Out of desperation to get to her home and retrieve anything she could, she circled back through the line of cars four more times over the span of three hours as the wildfire took the mobile home park, as well as their home and dogs.

The family will be eternally grateful for any donations to help them salvage what was lost, and provide food and shelter. With love and gratitude, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
