The comedian that can't smile - facial paralysis.

Brian Apprille is a comedian who loves making people laugh and smile. He's constantly performing for charities and foundations to help people. Now, he's the one in need of help. Brian suffers from facial paralysis from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and also synkinesis - involuntary muscle movement which is constantly tightening and pulling his face muscles. It's very painful physically and emotionally devastating.  He has tried botox treatments to little success.  There is a surgery called Selective Neurolysis which would shut off the nerves that are pulling incorrectly, relieve the pain, and also would restore some of his smile. This is currently the only viable option.  Unfortunately, it is not covered by health insurance, and therefore cannot be performed until funds are raised. All funds raised would go to the surgery and recovery of this procedure.   If you are able to contribute money, please consider doing so.
