Cheverly resident parkway disaster victim

On September 10, 2020, The sewage line failed and backed up. This has left us with extensive damage. Water came through our toilets and shower. We experienced major damage. We lost everything in the lower level of our home. WSSC and serv pro came out and both explained that all of our walls and flooring need to be ripped due to mold growth. We got a bill of 17,000 just to rip up the walls and flooring. The water heater is damaged and furnace as well. We have been in constant contact with our insurance company and we haven't gotten any luck on getting assistance. WSSC is also not trying to take responsibility as well. We appreciate any help that you can provide. My family and I appreciate our neighbors and Cheverly CERT for coming to our rescue. We couldn't have done it without our neighbors who came to help.
