Let’s help our Angel

Hi everyone, This fundraiser is for Angel Bond, lead singer for Cusses and a sweetheart to all. She has recently been diagnosed with a Hurthle cell tumor on her thyroid gland. It is a rare tumor and a surgery is required in order to find out its size, its degree of malignancy and how far it has spread. After quietly and consistently battling Hashimoto’s disease along with two other auto immune diseases ( celiac and endometriosis ), the most vicious of thyroid cancer risk is staring at her. This tumor came in as a surprise while she was planning on having surgery for her endometriosis yet it is absolutely inevitable. Years after years she has been pouring her soul onstage for her fans while always giving an open hand to any friend in need. I believe it is now our turn to help our Angel. She is currently on her way to Florida to meet one of the best thyroid oncology surgeon in the US: Dr Clayman. After evaluating Angel’s case meticulously and performing thousands of thyroid surgeries, he made it his priority to take her under his wing and as fast as possible. While her surgery is partially covered, the total cost of the surgery topped with incessant testing all the way to the path of recovery is not definite due to the fact that there is no other way to know what is the nature of the damage until Angel gets under the knife. That said, this is a great start and your donations would relieve her from extra unnecessary stress and baggage while undergoing a major surgery and tapping into the unknown. Not only is her health at stake but also her voice and as a singer myself, I cannot imagine what that would be like and the amount of vulnerability it would take to ask for help myself. I have known Angel for a decade and I know that early on trauma inhibits her to speak her own truth at times. She won’t ask for help herself which is why I am writing to you all and doing it for her. We all carry stored trauma in our cells and instead of locking it in a hidden safe backstage; I believe it is our mission to help one another lift the curtain of shame and bring it all to light. Your emotional and financial support would mean the world to her. This tumor is having a direct impact on her artistry since she has not been able to sing normally for the past year. Therefore let’s all hold the mic for her and allow her to breathe freely and sing her story without filters once again and as soon as possible.
