Help my brother fight for his life against cancer!

Donation protected

I’m trying to help my brother, Edward “Jr”,  in a fight for his life against a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. My brother is such a good person and was dealt a really bad hand, like so many others I see on here. On October 6, 2020 we got the news that no one ever wants to hear.. “You have cancer.” My parents have been by his side ever since and us siblings, 5 of us, are doing all that we can at home to help in any way. So I figured if I can help them by easing the stresses of keeping a roof over our head and food on the table, along with all the other expenses needed for the care and treatment of my brother, then that would be a great blessing to my family.

My brother Edward just turned 17 a few months ago and is in his senior year of high school. He played football all 3 years and this was supposed to be his final year of high school football. Well when practice started for the season he went a couple days and started having a real bad pain in his groin and hip area down to his knee. At first they saw a fractured pelvic bone and thought he just had an infection. Well further testing revealed that it was cancer. A rare form of bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. Because of this he is not able to play his 4th and final year of football, and must focus on fighting for his life. We are being told that this form of cancer is very aggressive which means we must be aggressive in fighting it.

So far he is having chemotherapy and just this week alone he is there every single day getting chemo for up to 8 hours a day. Next month he will have a very big surgery to try and remove the tumor. After that he will start radiation. He often feels tired and is sick to his stomach and the worst part is seeing him on the floor curled up and crying from the pain. This is my BIG BROTHER, I have never seen him like this and it’s scary. I only saw him cry when our Nana died last year and now going through this without her makes it even harder. We got a lot of our strength from her. And today we found out that my little sister is positive for COVID. Which means we must somehow keep her away from him while he has no immune system. My parents are stressed to the max and we need help.

If you or a loved one have fought cancer then you know this journey is not an easy one for the entire family. I know these are hard times for many people, so if financial support is not an option, you can still show support by sharing this link, or praying, or sending encouraging messages for my brother Edward. Any support will mean the world to Edward, and to all of us. Thank you for sharing and reading about my brother.  Edited to let everyone know that it was just brought to my attention that those who tried to donate $1 were unable to. This is because of a setting by Go Fund Me, not by us. We appreciate EVERY single dollar and if that’s what you are able to send please feel free to use Cash App for anything smaller than $5. The cash app name is: $ohsoyoushannon thank you again to everyone!
