Nathan Needs an Elevator

Donation protected

A son, a warrior, a medical miracle, our brother. Nathan is 37-years old and has Cerebral Palsy. Since birth, he has had continual challenges and medical extremes. Nathan was diagnosed with osteoporosis at 18, and chronologically based on doctor’s input, his bones are the equivalent to one hundred years old. They are brittle, and they can break at any moment.

Our parents, 62 and 67, have taken full care of Nathan his entire life. They live in a two story home and because of Nathan’s decrease in mobility, going up and down stairs is next to impossible, not to mention risky for all parties involved. Due to his medical challenges, he has been bound to the home for over four years now, only leaving for the occasional doctor’s appointment. This home is his sanctuary, his place of rest, and his entire world. Limiting him to only a section of the home, is a cruelty we cannot afford. Nathan desperately needs an elevator to have  continued mobility throughout the house.

We are asking for donations for an in home elevator so that Nathan and my parents can safely navigate the home without serious risk of injury. We inquired about a chair lift for the stairs, but structurally the staircase does not meet measurement code and modifying the structure of the house was more money than building an elevator. If you can donate any amount, even $10 to help us reach our goal, please consider doing so. Every little bit will add up, every amount counts. Nathan’s health is declining rapidly and this battle of mobility in the home is something he really needs US to support him through. Please, help us protect Nathan, and help him to continue to thrive in the home he has lived in his entire life.
