Pip and Charley Donate Books
Donation protected
I am raising money to donate translated copies of Pip and Charley social/emotional learning books to all St. Paul Public School students in grades PK-3.
Pip and Charley is innovatively written in a way that encourages child-guardian/educator engagement to instill life-long social/emotional skills in children. Guardians/educators learn how to foster conversations about social/emotional learning (SEL), while children learn how to apply their social/emotional skills in a fun manner. Especially during this tumultuous year, beginning conversations with children about how we express ourselves and understand one another is essential to development. I propose the opportunity to donate translated copies of these books to children in St. Paul Public Schools (SPPS).
In today’s world, we recognize that education encompasses students’ mental well-being, behavioral understanding, and academic growth. Incorporating the Pip & Charley book series into households and classroom practices will create positive impacts in children’s learning experiences by providing guardians and educators the tools to hit all three of these aspects of education. It is Pip and Charley’s goal to reach as many families and educators in Minnesota as possible not only for educational purposes, but also to create greater educational equity and combat disparities in our community.
There are nearly 10,000 SPPS students in PK-3rd grade. To print 1,000 books costs $2592.39, so to print 10,000 books will cost just over $25,000.
