My name is Esteban, and I am a Life Scout working on the final rank of Eagle. My project consists of cutting down dead bamboo that is blocking a walking area. The money will help pay for the roll off dumpster that is needed to carry away the bamboo and for food for the volunteers. More information about The Henry Nehrling Society: Nehrling Gardens in Gotha, FL is the historic home of Dr. Henry Nehrling (1853-1929), renowned horticulturist, ornithologist, teacher and writer. On this site he experimented with thousands of plants that became the foundation of our Florida gardens. Our volunteer organization is rehabilitating the home and gardens as a community resource focused on historic preservation, horticultural education & environmental conservation. We use Nehrling's legacy to teach a love of horticulture and the environment.
