Early this year my son Neymar was hospitalized with acute pancreatitis, a condition that is not common in young children. We were given a few possible explanations by medical providers but the reason for his pancreatitis was still uncertain. Less than a month ago Neymar was hospitalized again with acute pancreatitis. This condition has brought many changes for Neymar and our family as a whole. Due to the fact that pancreatitis is not a common illness in young children, we are required to continue with more study and research with expert providers.
Today we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to have his medical case reviewed by some of the BEST medical experts in child pancreatic disease who are located in Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Life can never fully prepare you for expenses due to a medical diagnosis. We are thankful to have some savings that can fund the trip and travel expenses such as housing and food and time off from work. Neymar must be admitted this coming January to start research which means his $5K insurance deductible will not have been met because it is so early in the year.
