The Poet Food Start-up

The Poet Kitchen Company is created by two food-loving, environmentally responsible, and socially aware life-long friends. We are highly praised for our fusion Middle Eastern brunch restaurant called, The Poet Cafe. We took the Toronto brunch scene by storm when we came out with our Turkish-inspired Sunday brunch and from there, we expanded our menu to include a la carte fusion brunch and lunch dishes. Our reviews speak for themselves and so far we have served over 50,000 patrons.


We have been considering opening a new business where we can create flavourful dips, spreads, sauces, and other food items that are sourced locally, with all-natural, organic, and non-GMO ingredients. We wanted to build this business on a solid foundation of restaurant-quality food, environmental consciousness, and social awareness by shedding light upon women’s issues and supporting local women’s charities. Our commitment to the environment will be through using 100% recyclable packaging, zero use of plastic, and helping Canadian charities fight plastic pollution in our oceans.
