Help Biz’s family cover his ACL surgery

UPDATE: 12/31/20
Yesterday, we FINALLY had our surgery consultation, and the estimate they gave us is MUCH less than what a few Google searches had told us: roughly $4,000 instead of the original $6,000, and the goal has been changed to reflect that. We want to thank everyone that has donated so far and are so incredibly humbled and honored that our boy has so many friends around the world that want to help him. Thank you, you’ve all truly been the silver lining to our 2020.

Yesterday, we found out that our beloved two year old pit mix Biz Markie has been suffering from a torn ACL and requires surgery.

Our little guy is so tough that although he had been hiding his limp so well, even the vet had significant trouble finding any instability. He had fooled us into thinking that he only had a sprain and was recovering, until recently when we took him for a short walk and he was hopping on his affected left leg.

While Biz’s stability and health mean the world to us, we were not expecting this. We’ve already had to pay over $1,000 over the course of multiple vet visits to diagnose our guy’s issue.

As we work in the restaurant industry and health care industry, we are aware that the current state of the world is very difficult for everyone - so much so that we debated even making a GoFundMe. That said, any little bit helps lessen the burden that Biz Markie’s surgery and recovery places on us, his parents. Please, do not feel obligated to help if you are not of the means to do so responsibly.
