My name is Dahlen, i am a creative director, photographer and film maker who specializes in the realm of Branding / Advertising / Beauty / Fashion / Music / Film / Art / Entertainment / Pop culture ..... I have created a project call JACK - www.thejackmag.com - a huge size limited edition art publication about pop culture that embrace all the above - I am also of Asian descent. Currently i am working full time for this publication. The recent events against Asian has saddened me deeply ... I am confused n perplexed, but I am determined to use my talent, experience and expertise to WORK and CREATE a campaign to #STOPasianHATE and against #ASIANhateCRIME - hence, here i am.
GOAL:
To produce a WORLD CLASS CAMPAIGN that will incite STOP ASIAN HATE awareness through the use of ART, PHOTOGRAPHY and FILM ... and through the process:
1. to UPLIFT and EMPOWER Asian and its Community
2. to merge BEAUTY / ART with History and Culture in Modern times
3. to create PEACE and HARMONY
4. to give ASPIRATION and INSPIRE
5. to bring LOVE and JOY ... and SMILE to everyone.
IMPORTANT:
- This is not a charity organization but a private entity comprise of dedicated professionals specializing in the field of advertising / branding / beauty / fashion / music / film / entertainment / pop culture who believe in the cause and would like to make a change.
- As i work for Jack, the entire campaign and production will be under the umbrella of Jack Magazine.
- WE HOPE TO START THIS CAMPAIGN IMMEDIATELY
FUNDING:
Funding will be spent on the entire production from A to Z as well as sustaining Jack’s operation while we work on the campaign - starting from the very beginning of “ concept “ to “ pre-production “, casting and hiring of team and talent ... then proceeding to “ executing / shooting “ of the campaign ... which will then lead us to “ post production “ where the final selected artwork will be designed, art directed, retouched, and printed. Film footages will be edited and composed into a story telling format ... the very end process will be when the art work is presented on the street in as many cities from different states as possible, and the documentary film to be shared in every media format possible, and content to be presented / featured and shared in all social media platform like instagram, facebook and others.

An example of ESTIMATE cost for the category of WILD POSTING at market rate:
* Wild Posting is a term for artwork / posters pasted on walls by a team of professional - not unlike the posters we see on the street for brands, music or movie posters.
* ONE city such as NYC - 20 selected locations - 280 posters size at 27” x 40” - one week duration - LABOR only - this would cost about $15,000.
* EACH additional city such as LA , SF, Miami, Atlanta etc … would cost about $15,000 like NYC for EACH city.
* Additional time such as another week, larger poster size, more locations within a city etc … will bring the cost up accordingly.
Another example of ESTIMATE cost for the category of Equipment / Lighting / Grip for Film + Still photography is about $8,000 and up per day, depending on the concept and story telling … more elaborate scenes may require bigger set up + man power, thus the cost will go up accordingly.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Pending on the money raised, the more funding we receive, the more we can do - having more time dedicated to this work, hiring, having better production and material, creating more artwork, printing more posters, and reaching out to more neighborhoods / cities / states within the United States ( like New York, California, Georgia, Florida, Texas, etc... ) with our posters / street presentation … film documentary + online and social media presentation will follow suit … all with the objective to create greater awareness.
- We will negotiate the best possible rate whenever we can … thus money saved can be applied to other categories.
- We will seek SPONSORS and COLLABORATIONS WITH APPROPRIATE BRANDS whenever possible and will credit them accordingly.
- EVERY element in this campaign will be treated at the highest level of standard and quality, as we have already mentioned - a WORLD CLASS campaign.
- A dedicated website by the name of stopasianhatecampaign.com will be presented where our work and effort will be presented to the world.
- We LOVE to hear your input.
- Donations of $500 and more will receive a signed artwork/poster.
- Donations of $1,000 and more will receive a signed artwork/poster + one limited edition copy of Jack magazine of your choice.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
I have now released this very precious and personal project to the universe … i hope i will be given this opportunity to give back to my community, to help ease the pain and create AWARENESS, PEACE, LOVE and JOY to my fellow asian brothers and sisters … and to share this important message to people of all colors and ethnicity in the world, to live in harmony, as WE ARE ALL CREATED EQUAL IN THE EYES OF GOD.
