Help us build a school in Tanzania! **ENGLISH BELOW
Ciao, siamo Aurora e Paolo e veniamo dalla provincia di Varese. Stiamo cercando di raccogliere fondi per la fondazione in cui stiamo facendo volontariato attualmente, chiamata "Lift Them Up". Si tratta di un'organizzazione non profit con sede a Kikatiti, Arusha (Tanzania) che si occupa di offrire istruzione ai bambini bisognosi della comunità. I bambini sono 30 circa e vanno dai 3 ai 5-6 anni. Il programma educativo è focalizzato sulla preparazione dei bambini all’inizio dell’istruzione formale.
Aurora (24) sta aiutando i bambini nell'apprendimento dell'inglese (alfabeto, numeri, comunicazione di base), che sarà loro necessario per accedere alle scuole statali, il cui insegnamento è principalmente in inglese.
Paolo (26) si sta occupando dell'orto nel giardino della scuola, nel quale vengono coltivate le verdure per preparare il pranzo ai bambini ogni giorno.
La fondazione si concentra infatti sul fornire una corretta educazione alimentare, offrendo ai bambini una merenda e un pasto equilibrato al giorno.
Perchè donare?
Stiamo alloggiando assieme alla famiglia di Lilian, co-fondatrice di "Lift Them Up", in un villaggio a poca distanza dalla scuola. Lei e suo marito ci hanno spiegato che al momento stanno affittando la scuola, ma il loro obbiettivo è quello di comprare un terreno dove poter costruire una scuola più grande. La scuola attuale infatti è molto piccola e hanno dovuto rifiutare diversi bambini per mancanza di spazio e di insegnanti.
Lilian e Abel hanno già trovato un terreno adatto distante circa 30 minuti a piedi dalla scuola attuale, e quindi raggiungibile dai bambini e dalle loro famiglie. Grazie alle donazioni in questi mesi hanno già raccolto circa 9.000€, gli mancano solo 1.000€ per acquistare il primo pezzo di terreno.
Qualsiasi tipo di donazione, anche minima, sarà sicuramente d'aiuto per raggiungere questo obbiettivo, non è l'importo ma l'unione a fare la differenza!

Hi, we are Aurora and Paolo and we come from Varese, Italy. We are trying to raise money for the foundation we are currently volunteering at, called "Lift Them Up". It is a non-profit organization based in Kikatiti, Arusha (Tanzania) that offers education to children in need from the community. There are around 30 children and they range from 3 to 5-6 years old. The educational program focuses on preparing children for the start of formal education.
Aurora (24) is helping children learn English ,which will be necessary for them to access state schools, where teaching is mainly in English.
Paolo (26) is taking care of the school's vegetable garden, where vegetables are grown to prepare lunch for the children every day. The foundation focuses on providing correct nutritional education, offering children a snack and a balanced meal a day.
Why should you donate?
We are staying with the family of Lilian, co-founder of "Lift Them Up", in a village not far from the school. Lilian and her husband explained to us that they are currently renting the school, but their goal is to buy land where they can build a larger school. In fact, the current school is too small and they had to reject several children due to lack of space and teachers.
Lilian and Abel have already found suitable land about 30 minutes' walk from the current school, and therefore accessible to the children and their families. Thanks to donations in the last months they have already raised around €9,000, they only need €1,000 to purchase the first piece of land.
Any type of donation, even minimal, will certainly help to achieve this goal and make the difference!
