Rainbow - Emergency Surgery

1) initial total: 3200€

2) tot bill: 1600€

3) extra ER visits for high fever - total bill: 1700€

4) I miss two days of visits and exams, I guessed 2000€, still to confirm

Dear friends and animal lovers,

I am Valentina and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My beloved dog, Rainbow, was in urgent need of life-saving surgery. After a long week during which both my dogs had gastrointestinal problems, Rainbow instead of recovering, worsen. She started to vomit once again. On Sunday evening she started not to eat while she drank like never before. As on Monday she refused both food and water, while she was forced to eat and to drink. In the meanwhile her belly swallowed and she seemed very tired and sad, the opposit to how she behaves on a normal day. I took her to ER on Monday night and there everybody thought that with extra painkillers and possibly an antibiotic, based on the results of her blood tests the situation would improve, as everybody was pretty sure it was linked to the previous episode.

Unfortunately on Tuesday and on Wednesday her conditions worsen once more and on Wednesday late afternoon she was nearly breathing so that she was taken back again to ER. After X-rays and an abdominal ultrasound I had to decide straight away whether to make her going through an emergency surgery or ... as an undefined external object was found in the stomach/intestines.

I decided to go for the first option even if I knew that the bill would be quite expensive.

I've always done my best to provide Rainbow and Nachos with the love and care they deserve, but this unexpected medical crisis has left me financially overwhelmed. The estimated cost of the surgery and all what needed to discover the problem is 2000 € (initially 3200€). Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring me one step closer to be able to cover the expenses of Rainbow's life saving.
