Cycling the Height of Everest to Support Refugees

September 2020: Cycling up to the Catalan mountain Montserrat 16 times in one day in order to reach a total elevation of 8848 meters, the equivalent height of Mount Everest.
The funds raised through this campaign will be used to support vulnerable groups with their labour integration process, which is made possible by the Migracode program: the first code school for refugees and migrants in Barcelona. Securing funding for this program has become even more challenging due to the economic impact of Covid-19, so any form of support is highly needed. All information about the project can be found here.
Reaching the height of the Mount Everest is called 'Everesting' in cycling terms, and the concept is fiendishly simple: pick any hill, anywhere in the world and ride repeats of it in a single activity until one climbs 8,848m – the equivalent height of Mt Everest. Only a few make it to the Hall of Fame.
This is the bike that will be my main support to get me to the top 16 times. Will you support me as well? Thanks a million in advance.
Or... Join! Drop me an email at everesting AT migracode.org if you want to join (a part) of the challenge. Details in the image below.. ;)
The goal is to finish without sleeping in between, but in case of any difficulties that prevent me from completing, I will take one sleepover and try to finish right afterwards. In case of any situation that prevent me from starting (weather conditions, injuries, etc.), I will reschedule the plan.
