I can no longer keep watching in silence what is happening to my family in Gaza.

I hope you and your beloved ones are safe and healthy. I am here with the most urgent and time-sensitive appeal in my life. My family is displaced in Gaza. I have been unable to see them for 4 long years.

About me: My Name is Leen Abusaid, a 28-year-old Palestinian woman. I am an International Relations Officer at the University of Siena in Italy. I was born and raised in Gaza where I finished my Bachelor Degree in Languges (English-French). I have full vivid memories in Gaza, most of which I lost.

To help my family, I am doing everything I can to get them out of Gaza, in a safe place where there is a hope to build a future.

I am not used to asking for assitance from others, but these serious and urgent circumstances are pushing me to take an urgent action. My individual efforts are not enough. Community support is needed.

My appeal: Please help me to coordinate for 9 displaced members of my beloved displaced family -4 nieces and nephews, and my elderly parents, my 2 brothers, and sister in law- to leave Gaza as soon as possible. They live under great threat of death from bombs, hunger, sickness, diseases and fear.

I have lost 5 cousins. We have lost our house in Gaza. My elderly parents' health is serious while they cannot find simple medications. My nieces and nephews are terrified.

There is a chance right now to get the whole family out of Gaza and into Egypt by way of the Rafah Crossing. It is very uncertain how long we will have this opportunity for, making it critical to raise the necessary funds as quickly as possible. The longer it takes the more in danger they are all in. No one knows how much longer the bombardment of Gaza will last and what the continued cost to human life will be. For my family’s future, your help is essential. I am deeply concerned about the entire family.

About my family:

My mom is a 69-years-old strong and generous woman, who taught me how to love life and create hope. My father is an 80 years old pensioned physician who dedicated his whole career to serve the Palestinian community. For 10 years, he had a charity organisation in Gaza called "Sanabel" where he cured hundreds of children almost for free, after his work hours.

I am especially concerend for the elderly and children in my family.

J’espère que vous et vos proches êtes en sécurité et en bonne santé. Je lance ici l’appel le plus urgent et le plus important de ma vie. Ma famille est déplacée dans Gaza. Ça fait 4 longues années que je n’ai pas pu les voir.

À propos de moi: Je m’appelle Leen Abusaid, une Palestinienne de 28 ans. Je suis responsable des relations internationales à l’Université de Sienne en Italie. Je suis née et j’ai grandi à Gaza où j’ai passé mon baccalauréat en langues (anglais-français). J’ai des souvenirs très vifs de Gaza, la plupart m’ont échappés.

Je veux aider ma famille, je fais tout ce que je peux pour les faire sortir de Gaza, pour trouver un endroit sûr où il y a un espoir de reconstruire un avenir.

Je n’ai pas l’habitude de demander de l’aide aux autres, mais ces circonstances graves et urgentes me poussent à agir de aujourd’hui. Mes efforts individuels ne suffisent pas. Le soutien de la communauté est nécessaire.

J’ai perdu 5 cousins. Nous avons perdu notre maison à Gaza. La santé de mes parents âgés est grave et ils ne trouvent pas les médicaments de première nécessité. Mes nièces et neveux sont terrifiés.

Aujourd’hui, il y a une chance de faire sortir toute ma famille de Gaza et d’entrer en Égypte via le terminal de Rafah. Nous ne savons pas pour combien de temps nous aurons cette opportunité, il est donc essentiel de réunir les fonds nécessaires le plus rapidement possible. Plus cela prend de temps, plus ils sont en danger. Personne ne sait combien de temps durera le bombardement de Gaza et quel sera le coût en vies humaines. Pour l’avenir de ma famille, votre aide est essentielle. Je suis profondément inquiète pour toute ma famille.

À propos de ma famille:

Ma mère est une femme forte et généreuse de 69 ans, qui m’a appris à aimer la vie et à créer de l’espoir. Mon père est un médecin retraité de 80 ans qui a consacré toute sa carrière au service de la communauté palestinienne. Pendant 10 ans, il a dirigé une organisation caritative à Gaza appelée « Sanabel » où il a soigné des centaines d’enfants presque gratuitement, après ses heures de travail.

Je suis particulièrement soucieux des personnes âgées et des enfants de ma famille.

Il mio appello: Vi prego di aiutarmi a coordinare l'uscita da Gaza di 9 membri della mia amata famiglia sfollata - 4 nipoti, i miei anziani genitori, i miei 2 fratelli e la cognata - il prima possibile. Vivono sotto una grande minaccia di morte a causa di bombe, carestia, malattie e paura.

Ho perso 5 cugini. Abbiamo perso la nostra casa a Gaza. La salute dei miei anziani genitori è grave e non riescono a trovare i più semplici medicinali. I miei nipoti sono terrorizzati.
