L’Academie Dance school fire

We are calling for the help of our friends, family and colleagues!

My sister is a single mother of 2 who works extremely hard running not just one but three businesses! Her dance school L’Academie, dance costume design business - Bella Couture and party/balloon business - Let’s Party at Mimi’s House.

Sadly on Saturday the sun reflected off a chandelier and started a fire.. thankfully no one was hurt as we’re proud to say one of her students, Troy, acted extremely fast after smelling smoke.. insisted on Mimis house/bella Couture room being checked then smashed the fire alarm. Troy and student teacher, Ebony, then evacuated everyone from the building!

The fire started in one of the dance studio rooms where lets party at Mimi’s house and Bella Couture equipment & materials are stored, destroying 2 businesses immediately! The sprinklers activated in all rooms also destroying the specialised flooring in the dance studio rendering the dance studio unusable..

1 single, self employed mom of 2..1 fire..3 businesses affected insurance?.. the policy ran out in April and due to complications in her pregnancy she didn’t manage to get it renewed so isn’t covered!

The dance studio is the children’s second home.. they are devastated at the loss of not only the studio but the ability to be with their dance family doing what they all love.

We are pleading for help to buy the basics to get running again with the priority being the dance studio flooring, tumble track electric generator and speaker..if you could find it in your hearts to spare anything at all to help my sister who continually works into the early hours of the morning in order to successfully juggle a 9 year old, a new born baby and 3 businesses it is something we will never forget and forever be grateful for ❤️
