LAST EFFORT TO COMPLETE 'TOMFI JUNIOR SCHOOL' IN KENYA

After the fundraising events organized in 2020 and 2022, which enabled us to raise around EUR 10,000 for the acquisition of a new plot of land to expand the school's premises and then to delimit it with a with a suitable perimeter wall and to build two new classrooms, it is now time to take action to raise the necessary funds to finish the work by building the third and final classroom for 11-year-old children.

In fact, new regulations issued in 2021 by the Kenyan Ministry of Education stipulate that primary schools must compulsorily finish their education up to the age of 11.

It is therefore now necessary to build the classroom for these children by the end of 2023, so that classes can start in January 2024.

We therefore have the goal of raising EUR 3,500 by November 2023, so that we can start work in December and complete it by the end of the year.

We ask for one last effort and therefore for your precious help!

We would also like to share this project with you with photos and videos that we receive daily from the headmistress of the Stella school.

ULTIMO SFORZO PER COMPLETARE LA “TOMFI JUNIOR SCHOOL” IN KENYA

Dopo le raccolte fondi organizzate nel 2020 e 2022 che ci hanno permesso di raccogliere circa 10.000 Euro destinati all’acquisizione di un nuovo terreno per ampliare gli spazi della scuola ed in seguito di delimitarlo con un muro perimetrale idoneo e di costruire 2 nuove classi, è ora il momento di attivarsi per raccogliere i fondi necessari a concludere l’opera costruendo la terza ed ultima classe destinata ai bambini di 11 anni.

Le nuove normative emanate nel 2021 dal Ministero dell’istruzione kenyota prevedono infatti che le scuole primarie debbano obbligatoriamente concludere il percorso formativo fino agli 11 anni.

E’ quindi ora necessario costruire la classe destinata a questi bambini entro la fine del 2023, in modo da iniziare le lezioni a gennaio 2024.

Abbiamo quindi l’obiettivo di raccogliere 3.500 euro entro novembre 2023, in modo da poter iniziare i lavori a dicembre e concluderli entro l’anno.

EINE WEITERE ETAPPE IM AUFBAU DER „TOMFI JUNIOR SCHOOL“ IN KENIA

In den in den Jahren 2020 und 2022 organisierten Spendenaktionen konnten wir rund 10.000 Euro sammeln, vorgesehen für den Erwerb eines neuen Grundstückes zur Erweiterung der Schulflächen und deren anschließende Abgrenzung mit einer Umfassungsmauer.

Nach dem Bau der Umfassungsmauer und dem Bau von 2 neuen Klassen ist das nächste Vorhaben, Spenden zu sammeln, um die Arbeiten durch den Bau des dritten und letzten Klassenzimmers für die 11-jährigen Kinder abzuschließen.

Die neuen Regelungen des kenianischen Bildungsministeriums aus dem Jahr 2021 sehen vor, dass Schulen den Bildungsweg der Kinder bis zum 11. Lebensjahr verpflichtend ermöglichen müssen

Daher ist es nun notwendig, den für dieses Vorhaben vorgesehenen Klassenraum bis Ende 2023 zu bauen, um den gesetzlichen Regelungen zu entsprechen und diesen zum Unterrichtsbegin im Januar 2024 fertig gestellt zu haben.

Unser Ziel ist es daher, bis November 2023 3.500 Euro zu sammeln, damit wir mit dem Projekt beginnen,

die Arbeiten im Dezember durchführen und bis Jahresende abschließen können.

Wir möchten daher um die Hilfe aller bitten, die dieses Projekt bisher unterstützt haben oder auch neu dazu kommen, um der Schule zu helfen.

Gern teilen wir dann auch Fotos und Videos vom Fortschritt der Arbeiten, die wir vom Direktor der Schule Frau Stella erhalten.
