Launch Seattle's first trans and nonbinary choir

At STANCE (Seattle Trans and Nonbinary Choral Ensemble) we have a vision of a community, by and for trans and nonbinary singers, where changing voices are authentically embraced. An inclusive and accessible singing space where intersecting identities are centered at all levels of the organization. Where through our music, both singers and audiences can find embodiment and connect to our full selves, physical and emotional. And we already have 50+ singers signed up to join us in that dream!
But to create that space, we need your help. Renting a building to rehearse and perform, hiring an accompanist, and buying singer supplies like masks take funds that we currently don't have. We've been applying for lots of grants, but so far, none have come through.
Can you pitch in to help make this community space possible? To help us fulfill our dreams?
To fund our first Pride season:
- At $800 we would fund our technology support systems, including a singer portal where we can communicate easily and share music
- At $2,500 we also be able to buy proper singers' masks
- At $3,000 we would also be able to print music for our singers and advertise our concert
- At $5,000 we could also pay for a piano accompanist
- At $8,000 we could rent an accessible rehearsal and performance space in South Seattle
- At $10,000 we could pay for music and royalties to do fun and engaging music
- At our stretch goal of $50,000 we would be fully funded for our first season and be able to pay our Artistic Director
