LET’S HELP BABA’S FAMILY

Innocent Mbabali, per gli amici Baba, è venuto a mancare a soli 28 anni lo scorso 15 settembre 2023 per un male incurabile. Baba è arrivato a Bologna nel 2020.

Per tre anni ha fatto parte della nostra società, della famiglia HTB, per 10 mesi ogni anno, tutti i giorni al campo per allenarsi più volte al giorno, per allenare i nostri piccoli atleti, trasmettendo felicità e dando un punto di riferimento ai più piccoli. Nessuno di noi si dimenticherà più di Baba, dai piccoli ai grandi atleti, dalle famiglie agli avversari, perché ha trasmesso voglia di vivere con il sorriso, determinazione, amore per l’hockey. Baba ha sempre pensato prima alla famiglia piuttosto che a se stesso quindi io Ilaria Amorosini, per conto della società Hockey Team Bologna, vorrei fare una raccolta da donare a tutta la famiglia di Baba. Ho vissuto 3 anni a stretto contatto con Baba, vedendolo tutti i giorni, e sono sicura che sia quello che avrebbe voluto, un aiuto alla sua famiglia.

Innocent Mbabali, better known as Baba to his friends was suddenly and sadly takes from us at only 28 years of age the last 15th September 2023 from a terrible and incurable disease. He arrived in Bologna in 2020. For 3 years he was a valued and trusted member of our society and an integral part of the HTB family. For 10 months out of every year he was on the hockey field, training multiple times a day and coaching our young and upcoming athletes. He transmitted to them happiness and gave them a reference point and role model to refer to. None of us will ever forget Baba: from the youngest to the oldest of players, from the HTB family to the adversaries of the other teams, because he transmitted his joy in living life always with a smile and unending determination and especially a deep love for the sport of field hockey. Baba always put family before himself and therefore I Ilaria Amorosini, as representative of the Hockey Team Bologna, would like to collect donation in memory of our friend Baba to donate to his family in Uganda. For 3 years I spend time every single day with this extraordinary man, and thus I am confident that this would be what he would want allow him to smile down upon us from up above.
