Please help the Arose Family - House Fire Fund

Tragedy struck today (4/12/2023) for Kathy and Jerry Arose. In the early afternoon of this summer-like day, Kathy arrived home to find her home in flames, knowing that her husband Jerry and precious dog Claire were inside. Sadly, Claire didn’t make it and passed away. Jerry was transported to The Burn Center at St. Barnabas in Livingston, NJ. We are waiting for an update on Jerry’s condition.

So many have asked, what can we do, what does Kathy need right now? Thoughts and prayers, yes for sure, but there is so much more Kathy will need in the days ahead. With all their possessions suddenly gone, immediate financial support to cover day-to-day needs will alleviate at least a bit of the worry and heavy burden this tragedy has brought upon them.

Since 2016, Kathy has been a dedicated volunteer at the Sammy’s Hope Animal Welfare and Adoption Center in Sayreville. Kathy comes in multiple times each week, for scheduled shifts, as well as other times throughout the week, to give dogs a ride in the car, a trip to the park, and sometimes a stop for ice cream and other treats. Often Jerry would join in on the excursions. Kathy also had taken on a leadership role as Adoption Coordinator and takes the lead on communicating with adopters and coordinating adopter appointments to meet the adoptable animals at Sammy's Hope.

Kathy has given so much to so many over the years. We want to show Kathy how much she means to us and that we are here for her.
