In the Memory of Jake Marlowe

Donation protected
UPDATE:

Thanks to each and every one of you for your donations in Jake’s memory. From start to finish, we’ve constantly discussed exactly what should be done with the total of this fund, and what exactly has deviated from the original intention. For one last time, Jake’s parents, Michael and Lisa, believe it would be in Jake’s wishes to use this money for a much greater cause than what was last established. This would be to aid in the recovery of his dear friend and brother, Shlomi Ziv.

Because this intention is changing one last time, we’d like to remind you of the refund option that you will be able to request in the next 24 hours from GoFundMe. We understand that this may not have been your donation intention, and it might not be something you want to contribute to now. If you are still focused on the result of the previous intention, please contact Daniel in response.

Jake's parents, Michael and Lisa, have thought long and hard about the most beautiful and impactful ways that does more than honor Jake's life, but leave a lasting mark on the world in a way that touches others. Jake was selfless, loving, and always thinking of others before himself. In light of that, the family would like to donate the funds to create a memorial garden in the North of Israel, a way to share a peaceful respite, complete with trees, plants, and a bench in Jake's honor. This garden is a way to bring community together, to remember not just Jake's life but the Israeli lives impacted by the massacre and the strength of the people who are fighting for their lives and right to exist. In addition, the funds will also enable the family to create a memorial stone in the North of Israel in Jake's name. The remaining funds will be donated to two non-profit organizations that deeply touched Jake's life. One is Kisharon Langdon, the Jewish disability needs organisation where Jake's sister, Natasha, is educated and cared for. The second is to benefit MS, a disease Jake's mother is afflicted with.

If anyone would like to receive a refund in order to specifically donate to war related efforts, please contact GoFundMe.

Thank you for your support.
