Michael's Fight Against Cancer

I am publishing this fundraiser on behalf of my boyfriend, Michael. Michael’s journey began following the discovery of an irregular bump on his upper thigh. Never did he imagine that this small growth would alter his life. After several visits with specialists and various testing, Michael was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma on 4/12/2022. This rare form of cancer affects nearly 500 Americans each year and is typically found in children and young adults. Michael will begin his battle on May 5, where he will undergo nine weeks of chemotherapy. If all proceeds accordingly, he will then require surgery to remove the tumor. Fifteen additional weeks of chemotherapy and radiation therapy will then follow.

Michael is an 18-year-old senior at Freehold Township High School and plans to attend a trade school, where he will work toward certification to become a licensed electrician. He is an exceptional brother, son, boyfriend, and friend and always gives a shoulder to lean on when anyone needs it. Michael and his family will be facing a long hard battle for the next six months.
