As many of the friends of Terry Feldott and Guitar Junkyard know, Terry recently suffered a heart attack. On July 21, he finally came home from OSF in Peoria after spending about nine days in ICU. He is weak and needs rest now. Next week Terry will begin cardiac rehabilitation to rebuild his strength. We are so grateful to the LaSalle first responders, as well as the medical teams at St. Margaret’s, Peru, and OSF in Peoria. Further, our most heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the outpouring of prayers and support for Terry. He is being given the best care, and we have every hope for a complete recovery.

Music, stringed instruments, Guitar Junkyard, and his dream of a stringed instrument museum are his main passions. I believe he will return to these passions. However, the stress of the business and making enough income to cover his building overhead, utilities, insurance and other expenses have been constant worries for him. He has also been stretched in many directions trying to keep all these balls in the air. This Go-Fund-Me request is for $70,000 to help him get back to work and develop the museum.

The Go-Fund-Me campaign is to raise enough money to support 24 months of the Guitar Junkyard’s basic expenses so that Terry can remain healthy and remain in business without the stress of needing to cover the basic operating costs. The funds requested for his operating costs will also help support his dream of establishing a stringed instrument museum. You have probably heard him talk about this. Terry has given it a working title of Stringed Instrument Museum for the Promotion of Luthier Education (SIMPLE). The contributions you make will help in the establishment of the museum.
This Go-Fund-Me campaign is to allow him to continue as before in the work he loves while making progress toward the museum. Terry has many talents but will need help on specific projects to achieve his dream. Funds raised will also be used to access people with the skills required to work with him to accomplish this. In addition, he will need assistance developing a digital database/inventory documenting the over 350 artifacts in the museum collection, designing/arranging exhibits, and establishing a board and the fiscal structure necessary for the museum’s not-for-profit status 501(c) 3 application.

Please help if you can. You will be helping Terry complete his recovery and accomplish his dream.
Thank You.
