Barnstable Little League Restroom-Snack Bar Build

Tax deductible
Barnstable Little League has been a formidable institution on the Cape since 1952. Our participation has enthusiastically bounced back from COVID and we continue to expand and cultivate over 200 athletes each season. The league operates entirely on volunteers, and we are responsible for maintaining the town-owned fields. Each game night, hundreds of fans line the fields, often with parents and grandparents who once buttoned up their Barnstable uniform, watching their legacies live on.

Even though we have done well, it is time to create a true ballpark atmosphere for baseball players and fans alike. Unfortunately, our only option currently for the mothers, children, husbands and grandparents (as well as our athletes) is to use port-o-potties for the restrooms. While these are well maintained by our vendor it's not ideal for the long haul.  We need your help in order to install permanent, safe, and sanitary restroom facilities, as well as a fully functional concession stand.

Past and present members of the Barnstable Little League Board, as well as several supporters, have been working on a plan to bring the permanent restroom and concession stand building to the Lorusso fields for several years. While COVID paused this process, they never let the project drop. The project group, led by Mike Clark, Joe O'Brien, Ed Pesce, and JD Stone, has worked for years to approve plans and was recently granted $200,000 from the Town of Barnstable's Community Preservation Committee to help fund the build.

Next, it's up to Barnstable Little League to raise the additional funds to cover this project. This is a tremendous undertaking for our league, but these facilities will provide years of use to Barnstable Little League families and friends. We'd welcome any donation to help get us to our goal!
