Help Honor Dan Henry's Life & Support His Family

Hi, my name is Keri Henry, and I am fundraising for my Dad and my family.

On February 8th, my Dad was in a car accident just a minute away from our home. We believe that he went into cardiac arrest while he was driving, causing him to lose control of his car. When first responders arrived at the scene and removed him from his car, he had no pulse and was not breathing. They performed CPR for a while to keep him going, and they got him to the hospital and hooked him up on life support. Despite their best efforts, my Dad had already gone too long without any oxygen to his brain, and he was declared brain dead the next day.

We kept him going on life support for another day while we waited for one of his sons to fly in from California. Last night, on February 10th, we all said our final goodbyes; and sent him off to donate his liver.

My Dad was dealing with many health issues for a long time. Years ago, he had a series of "mini strokes", he had type 2 diabetes, and he had stage 4 kidney disease. Despite all of his health issues, we never expected to lose him so soon or in this way; we are strong, but also so unprepared for this.

My Dad was a veteran, he served many years in the Air Force before beginning his career in cyber security. He was such a special person, so we want to have the most special memorial service for him. We are going to need a lot of help to make sure we can give him the send off he deserves, one that will help us all find peace within this.

In addition to the costs of his memorial service, my family also needs all the support we can get. My Dad provided for our family. He is the only reason we live in the house we currently have. He is the reason we have been able to adopt so many pets over the years. He paid the bills and always had cash to spare if any of us ever needed it. So, all the money raised in this fundraiser will go towards his memorial service and supporting our collective family financial needs.
