Jackson Berscheid's Hodgkin's Journey

Donation protected
Jackson Berscheid was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma on October 14th 2020.  His diagnosis came two months after beginning  college at St. John's University in St. Joseph, MN and just one week after his goal of playing college basketball was realized.  For those of you that have known Jackson or seen as he calls it his "glow up" throughout the years know how important this goal has been.  He has spent day after day being the first one in the gym or the weight room and the last to leave.  His dedication to this goal of playing college basketball has been an inspiration to those around him to push themselves and to set and accomplish goals in everyday life. Through difficult and unexpected circumstances surrounding his senior year of High School being derailed by Covid-19 and uncertainty about the likelihood of an In-Person Freshman year of college Jackson has encouraged himself and those around him to stay positive and hopeful.  Everyday since his diagnosis Jackson has kept that same positivity, confidence,  and unwavering determination.  This is something most of us know all too well.  Jackson, being 19 years old, shouldn't have to go through this, but we promise that he will not go through it alone.

Jackson's treatment was scheduled to begin on Thursday November 5th.  However, yesterday he was notified that he has tested positive for Covid-19.  His positive test has delayed his treatment while he stays in quarantine and fights that as well.  His doctors are planning on rounds of chemotherapy followed swiftly with radiation treatment.  His prognosis is good and his doctors are confident this can be defeated.  His treatment will begin as soon as he tests negative for Covid.

I am asking for donations to assist throughout this incredibly unexpected setback.  All donations will go towards medical bills and travel expenses. Future expenses are expected throughout the years to come but any leftover funds after treatment will be sent to a Cancer Research foundation in Jackson's name.  Help if you are able with whatever you can afford. If you cannot contribute, simply reaching out to Jackson will mean a great deal.  Please SHARE this page and type up your favorite Jackson story or an inspirational quote.  He is one hell of a guy, just ask him.
